Rosa Clas, 88 years old, went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 27, 2021. Before her final days at Hospice, she lived with her daughter Rosa Clas (Ely), which was also her best friend and was taken care of by her and Wilson Clas (son). A tribute to her will be held by the family. Grave site burial will be held on Tuesday, February 9, at approximately 1:30 pm at Ridgelawn Cemetery 520 Ridgelawn Street, Clewiston, Fl, for family and friends. Rosa was born on April 22, 1932 in Puerto Rico. She was the daughter of Florentina Tosado Crespo and Leocadio López Pérez. In 1952, she married Demetrio Clas and moved to Florida. They had five children: Hector Clas (Sharon, wife) - 1 son; Elizabeth Clas -(Joe, husband) - 4 children and 7 grandchildren; Wilson Clas (Willie); Efrain Clas (Esther, wife) - 8 children and 20 grandchildren; Rosa Clas (Ely). Grandchildren she raised (she considered as children): Gloria Clas, Jairo Clas and Efrain Clas. She was an amazing loving daughter, wife, mother (mommy), grandmother (abuela; tata), aunt (tia) and friend. She enjoyed sewing for her daughters, embroidering and cooking for her family and friends (delicious food, pigeon peas and rice, pernil, pasteles, pastelillo, and tortilla - you would want more). She loved the holidays and having family and friends gathering. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her children (spouses), grandchildren and great grand children She always had special friends Deborah and William Wade and Shirley Valentine and her niece, Norma Larriu close to her and her heart.
