Ronald F. Liss, Sr., 81, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida passed away at home on February 7, 2020, following a long illness. He was the son of Joseph P. Liss, Sr. and Julia (Hoyt) Liss. He was educated in Lawrence, Massachusetts at St. Augustine's School, Central Catholic High School and Merrimack College. Mr. Liss was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was the owner of Ormes Mayflower, in Wilmington, Massachusetts and Liss Transportation, Deerfield Beach, Florida. He was married to Barbara (Hatch) Liss in 1965 and resided in Andover, Massachusetts, Deerfield Beach, Florida and Meredith, New Hampshire. A business entrepreneur. Mr. Liss was also an avid golfer playing at Indian Ridge, Andover, Massachusetts, Broken Sound, Boca Raton, Florida , and Laconia Country Club, Laconia, New Hampshire. A daily communicant, very devout Catholic and acolyte, Mr. Liss taught CCD at St. Augustine's Church in Andover, Massachusetts and St. Charles Borromeo Church in Meredith, New Hampshire. In addition to his wife, Mr. Liss is survived by two sons, Ronald F. Liss, Jr. of Royal Palm Beach, Florida and George Hatch Liss, Amy (Walls), of Needham, Massachusetts. Grandchildren Lili and Brady Liss of Newton, Massachusetts and Ben and Grace Walls of Needham, Massachusetts, and a sister, Judith (Liss) Reilly of Londonderry, New Hampshire, several nieces and one nephew. He was predeceased by his parents, a grandson, Austin Hatch Liss, a sister, Joanne Marie Liss and a brother, Joseph P. Liss, Jr. M.D. Mr. Liss was a retired member of Mayflower Warehousemen's Association, Bekins Van Lines President's Counsel, Men of Merrimack College, Bon Secour Hospital Guild, and the first President's Counsel of Lynn University. He was involved with macharitable organizations. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date.
