Roger Eyare King, Jr. of Loxahatchee, Florida was tragically killed the morning of April 29, 2011. Roger was born on November 18, 1968 in Kingston, Jamaica and lived in both Jamaica and Belize before moving to Coral Gables, Florida. In 1988 he moved to Wellington with his family and continued in his career at Publix Supermarkets. Roger started working for Publix when he was 15 and worked his way up from bag boy to Grocery Manager. Roger leaves behind a daughter, Rebecca A. King of Stuart; his parents Roger and Sarah King of Wellington; a brother, Fr. Brian G. King of Palm Beach Gardens and a sister, Karen A. Beck (Kevin) of Lexington, Kentucky. He also leaves a nephew, Tyler Beck and a niece, Lauren Beck, in Lexington, Kentucky as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins in Australia, Barbados, Canada, England, Hong Kong, Ireland and the U.S. Visitation will take place at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 6pm to 8pm with a service at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Rita Catholic Church in Wellington at 10am Wednesday, May 4, 2011 with burial immediately following at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery.
