Robert Richard Redfield May 17, 1944 - February 22, 2025 Robert "Bob" Redfield, age 80, of Edgewater, FL, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, after a brief time in home hospice care. Bob was born on May 17, 1944, in Woodbury, NJ to George and Mary (Leafy) Redfield. He spent his youth in New Jersey and often equated his boyhood to the movie "A Christmas Story". Bob joined the Air Force at 18 years of age and retired 20 years later after being stationed in San Antonio, TX, Denver, CO, Grand Forks, ND, Bitburg, Germany, Iowa Park, TX, Dover, DE, Valdosta, GA, Kirchberg, Germany, and Deltona, FL, plus two tours in Korea. Bob loved to play darts during his Air Force days and won many trophies. After retiring from the United States Air Force, Bob was a jack of all trades, master tinkerer, and king fixer. He was often the life of the party and the first one out on the dance floor. Bob had a love and marvel of aeronautics. In his most recent days, Bob enjoyed being outdoors and spent most afternoons feeding peanuts to the squirrels. Bob was married three times and had four daughters - Nancy, Sherry, Tina, and Constance. Bob called his daughters his precious jewels. At the time of Bob's passing, he was united in marriage to Rosemary (Nott). Survivors include his loving wife of 24 years, Rosemary; his daughters, Nancy (Frank) Stoker, Sherry Zeman (Rod Freitag), Tina (Bryan) Murphy, and Connie (Bret) Slavin; stepson, Louis Nott (Ruth Marron); 8 grandchildren, Cody (Larissa) Zeman, Adam Wetsch, Hunter Zeman, Evan Wetsch, Jordan Shockey, Aidan Wetsch, Zane Shockey, and Kylee Shockey; and 2 great-grandchildren, Walker and Willa Zeman. Surviving family members also include Bob's nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers in-law, and his best friend, Bill. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, George and Howard, and a nephew, Bobby, who shared his namesake. All friends and family are welcome to the celebration of life and burial at sea at 301 Seabreeze Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, FL, on Monday, March 24, 2025, 2PM-5PM. Gather on the dock at 1:45PM prior to boarding. Tropical attire is encouraged. In lieu of flowers and memorials, please feed your local squirrels.
