March 18, 1983 — November 11, 2024

Robert "Rob" Marhan Started his life in Neptune New Jersey and at a young age moved to Pembroke Pines, Florida where he went to school and made many life- long friends. He Graduated from Flannagin High School where he was on the Varsity Football and Varsity Wresting teams all 4 years. Upon graduation the family moved to Loxahatchee, Florida. Immediately following 9/11 Rob entered the US Coast Guard and became part of an elite Maritime Safety and Security Team based on Cape Cod and was deployed around the world. After the Coast Guard, he became a US Coast Guard licensed boat captain which led him to his long career on the water. Starting as Captain of a survey boat on the remote North Slope of Alaska, followed by delivering tugboats to Australia, and Captaining tugs boats in and around New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. He finally settled down in Boynton Beach, Florida where he lived with his beloved dog Colt, and began his long career as part of the Towboat US Palm Beach team. He peacefully passed in his home with his new puppy Mako by his side. Rob is survived by his parents Pete and Theresa Marhan of Loxahatchee Florida and many Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. He was an avid fisherman and boater. Rob was very respected in the maritime community and has an enormous amount of loving friends who he would always have a big smile for and would do anything to support them. He was loved and will be missed by many. There will be a private family ceremony followed by a large Celebration of his Life on the water in the Palm Beach area the first weekend of February, where all will be invited and notice will be made shortly.
