Robert Edward Lanoue

Robert Edward Lanoue, 81, of Lake Worth passed away at home Saturday, August 1, after over two years of multiply illnesses. He was born in Glens Falls, NY, the son of Edward Vincent and Leda Phenix Lanoue. His parents, his sister Claire Stewart and his wife of 43 years Margaret predeceased him. Bob is survived by Anne Klaiber nee Abate, his wife of 13 years, his sisters Marie Lareau (Leon) and Lorraine Veiel (Alfred), his sons Mark (Laurie), Christopher (Donna), Edward Thomas (Melissa), granddaughters Shannon, Katie, Jennifer, and Nicole and two great grandchildren, Bennett and Parker. He is also survived by a devoted stepfamily, Anne's children Beth Shepard (Keeler) and Brian Klaiber (Karen) and grand children Elizabeth, Michael, Sarah, David, Kris and Brette. Bob received his Bachelors of Science in Economics from Siena University of Loudonville NY, and was a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FMLI). He was an employee of John Hancock Insurance for 40 year and was a Field Supervisor and office manager. Bob believed strongly in helping others and gave generously of his time in following that belief. In his younger years he was a scout leader. In his later years he was an active member of Holy Name of Jesus Church of West Palm Beach where he was editor of the Disciple News Letter for 17 years. He was also the church photographer, he served as a Eucharistic minister, he worked in the food pantry, he served on the stewardship and welcoming committees, and he transported parishioners who were unable to provide their own church transportation. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, August 6, at 10am at Holy Name of Jesus on 345 S. Military Trail. There will be a viewing at the Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach on Wednesday, August 5 from 6 to 8 PM. We will miss the love that he has showered upon us, and the example of love and citizenship that he has given to us and to our children.
