Robbie Lee Bronson

Robbie Lee Bronson AKA "POP-POP", 71, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family. Robbie was born on August 16, 1954, in Meadville, PA, and grew up in San Diego, CA. After serving as an MP in the US Army, he moved to Florida. Robbie retired from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office in 2014, where he worked as a Law Enforcement Officer for 37 years. He received numerous awards, including Law Enforcement Officer of the Year (1999) and U.S. Department of Justice Outstanding Law Enforcement Officer. After retiring, he became the full-time babysitter for both of his grandsons, which he loved doing; they were his "world". Robbie also enjoyed: Motorcycles, boating, fishing, kayaking, camping, and scuba diving. Robbie is survived by his Wife of 48 years, Teresa (Hobby) Bronson, Son Jason Bronson, Daughter-in-law Danielle Bronson, Grandsons Austin and Tyler Bronson; Brothers; Barry Bronson (Theresa) (FL), Greg Bronson (Lora) (NC), Larry Bronson (Cathy) (NC), Skip Bronson (FL), Ronnie Bronson (Phyliss) (PA), Mother-in-law; Glenda Sears (TN), Brother in Laws; James Hobby (TN), Tracy Hobby (FL). He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Bronson (1989), Mother, Dorothy Bronson (2025), Brother, Robert Bronson (2022), Sister, Judy Bronson (2021), brother-in-law, Thomas Hobby (2012), Father-in-Law, James Hobby (2018). The funeral will be held on August 25, 2025, at Palms West Funeral Home, officiated by Robbie's Nephew, David Miller. Visitation will start at 9:30 am, funeral service to follow at noon. He will be buried following the ceremony at the South Florida National Cemetery.
