Rita Joan Miller Rita Joan Miller, age 90 passed away in her Royal Palm Beach, Florida home on August 27, 2012. Rita was born in Glemsford, Suffolk, England. She first traveled to the U.S. as a brave young woman in 1945 with her late husband, air force Master Sergeant Robert D. Miller. She was a resident in Palm Beach County for over 37 years. In her earlier years, Rita excelled as a Ballroom Dancing Champion. She enjoyed making a home with her son Robert. She always had an open ear to listen, a meal and a hot cup of tea for you. She also enjoyed simple blessings like tending to her garden and flower arranging. Especially in later years, Ben, Sue and Chucky, her family of Jack Russell's all brought her great comfort and joy. She enjoyed sharing her stories with you and showed genuine interest in yours. Her generosity, warm smile along with her cute "proper English" giggle will be sorely missed. Survived by her son, Robert Miller of Royal Palm Beach, FL; sister-in-law, Marie Strofield of New York; nephew, Richard Strofield of Coral Springs, FL and niece, Roberta Hanley of Port St Lucie, FL., her sister-in-law Eileen Howe of Corringham England, her niece Barbara Breeds and many other nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
