Rita Lordi

God blessed this world with our mother, wife, sister, and best friend, Rita Ann Lee Lordi, on 10/14/1960. She was one of 10 children born to Thelma Lois Knutson and Marcus Martir. At the age of 17, she met the love of her life, Christopher Lordi, and they have been by each other's side ever since. She became a loving mother the year of 1979 and continued to bring new life into this world until 1990. She bore 4 children: Jennifer Lordi, Christopher Lordi Jr, Michelle Lordi and Michael Lordi. She became a grandmother in 2005 and to date her last grandchild was born in 2015. She has 3 grandchildren: Gabriel Lordi-Vado, Mila Lordi, and Benjamin Lordi-Vado. God called her home to be with him on Thursday, August 16th, 2018. Her journey in this world was very tough but she always tried to make light of the situation and managed to put a smile on her face. Her strength was of no one that we have ever known, and she fought to the very end. She was always selfless and thought of everyone's happiness and wellbeing. She loved to sing, dance and make everyone smile. She wants to be remembered by her kindness, selflessness and unconditional love. She wanted to teach others that there is not always tomorrow, we need to cherish every moment. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for with a huge heart of gold. As she always said, "Cry for me when I'm here, not when I'm gone". She knew the day that she was with God, she would no longer be in pain or suffering. She would not want us to cry for her but celebrate her life and remember her for who she was and what she did for everyone. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, son-in law, 7 siblings, sister in-law, nieces and nephews. Her love and acts of kindness will live on through her family. We are so proud of our dear mother & wife, and life truly will never be the same without her. A piece of us will always be missing, until the day we meet again.
