Richard Lee Waite

Richard Lee Waite, 72 of West Palm Beach, FL passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday evening September 5, 2017. Mr. Waite was born to the late William and Margaret Waite originally from Beatrice, Nebraska on December 8, 1944. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1963 where he served 20 honorable years and later retired as master of arms. In addition to his time in service, he worked as a volunteer fire-fighter, was devout in his Christian faith and devoted to his family. Mr. Waite is survived by his wife Sharon Waite (Pike), siblings David (Pat) Waite of Florida, Patsy (Ron) Crane of Georgia, Kathy (Mike) Mabry of Florida and Anthony (Susan Bradshaw) of North Carolina. His beautiful life and commitment to his family will forever be cherished by his daughter Annalisa (Philip) Morris of Woodbine, GA and his two step-children Julie (Michael Mills) Montesano of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Joseph (Trish) Montesano of Portland, OR. He will be missed; but not forgotten by his 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2017 between 9:30-11:30 AM at Palms West Funeral Home located at 110 Business Park Way in Royal Palm Beach, FL. A private veteran's military procession and dedication will take place shortly thereafter. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made in Richard Waite's name to the Salvation Army Disaster Relief Fund.
