Richard W. Ricker, 68, of Loxahatchee, FL, passed away on May 30th, 2022, at his home doing what he loved: tending to his many plants. He was born May 29th, 1954, to August J. Ricker & Clara A. Bott-Ricker in Wheeling, WV. In 1972, he graduated from Trinity High School in Washington, PA. On February 23rd, 1973, he married the love of his life, Carla M. Nichols-Ricker. After 30 years of working for ABF Freight Systems, he retired in 2017 as a brother of the Teamsters - Local 769. Rick enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including woodworking. You could often find him outdoors skeet shooting, fishing, biking, gardening, and walking nature trails. When he wasn't enjoying the great outdoors, Rick was with Carla, either watching movies or sipping coffee on their front porch. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a big kid at heart and loved playing with his grandchildren and being a practical joker. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 49 years, as well as his four children: Eric (Dana) Ricker, Kirsten Ricker, Lindsey (Jimmy Finch) Ricker, David (Christina) Ricker and 13 grandchildren: Kirstie, Alexandra, Vaughn, Elias (Pappy's Right Hand Man), Alexa, August, Siobhan, Hannah, Katelyn, Kody, Cain, Kaden, and Kai plus two step-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Maverick. Rick was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings: his brothers Jack, Fred, Jim, Pete, and Bob and sisters Dorothy, Clara, Helen, and Mary Lou. To Be Announced – At a later date, the family will hold a Celebration of Life for Rick.
