Richard Frank Nicoletta, age 78 of Royal Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 8, 2021. Richard was born on February 14, 1943 in Rochester, New York to Joseph J. Nicoletta and Helen C. (DiMartino) Nicoletta. He graduated from Madison High School in 1961 and that same year met his future bride, Marilyn F. Jenkins. They were married on April 4, 1964 and together had two children: A daughter, Dianalynne and a son, Richard. In the early 1960's, Richard worked for Rochester Products as a Quadrajet assembler, owned a Hess gas station and then became the owner of Nick's Pizzeria in The Tenth Ward of Rochester, New York. In 1970, he joined the Protectives. This is the only volunteer fire company in existence in the all paid City of Rochester Fire Department. He absolutely loved dedicating his time and services to safeguarding the lives and property of the citizens of Rochester, New York. He was a lifetime member of the Protectives, completing his 50 years of service in 2020. In 1984, he moved with his family to Florida and had his own limousine business until his retirement in 2014. Richard always talked about his 1960 Cadillac and enjoyed all classic cars. He loved Doo-wop music and enjoyed playing his 45's. More than anything else, he was a selfless human being who loved his family and put them before himself. He will truly be missed. Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn F. Nicoletta and his parents, Joseph J. Nicoletta and Helen C. (DiMartino) Nicoletta. He is survived by his daughter, Dianalynne L. Nicoletta, his son, Richard J. Nicoletta (daughter-in-law, Karen R. Nicoletta); Grandsons, Anthony M. Nicoletta and Joseph M. Santiago; granddaughter, Brooke Nicoletta; great grandchildren, Cade, Tommy, Hailey, Isla and Avery (Hank); his sister, Karen H. (Nicoletta) Alberti (brother-in-law, Paul Alberti) and nieces, Dena Alberti Werner (Chris Werner) and Joanna Alberti of Rochester, New York as well as many other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His dogs who he adored, Benny and Gracie.
