Richard Henry Jette, age 81, of Wellington, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2019, knowing he was loved by his entire family. Richard will be missed always by his beloved wife of nearly fifty-three years, Barbara, his son, Christopher, and his daughter, Nicole, their spouses, Kai Li and Eddie, and six beautiful grandchildren, Andrew, Cerys, Kale, Cade, Savannah and Ashlyn. His loving parents, Henry and Beatrice Jette, raised Richard in Worcester, Massachusetts, along with his nine brothers and sisters. Richard was honorably discharged from the United States Navy in 1957, retired from Pratt Whitney in 1995 after thirty-six years, and was "Honorary Mayor for Life" of Palm Springs, Florida, after serving as Councilman for two terms and Mayor for sixteen years. Along with his love of the Boston Red Sox, playing Black Jack and the Price is Right television show, Richard loved traveling the world with his wife, family and friends. His legacy lives on from sharing wonderful and humorous stories about his life and family with all of his adored grandchildren. The family will receive guests on March 23rd from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Palms West Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411. A Celebration of Richard's Life will then be held immediately afterward at 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made in Richard's name to any of the following non-profit organizations: Gary Sinise Foundation, P.O.
