Richard S Fedak

Richard (Rick) Fedak 06/20/1953-08/14/2020 This quick-witted gentle giant lost his 14-year battle with Parkinson's Disease. He fought a courageous fight right up to the end. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Kathryn (Kay) Fedak, his beloved sister K. Dian Fedak (2009) and his brother-in-law Bill Brown (2014). Rick is survived by his wife of 41 years Kathy (Brown) Fedak of Royal Palm Beach, Fl, his daughters Sarah (Joe) Ireland of Pittsburgh, Pa, his daughter Katie of Boca Raton, Fl and the loves of his life, grandchildren Nora Jayne and Ryan Emerson Ireland of Pittsburgh, Pa. He is also survived by his siblings Dennis (Linda) Fedak of St. Augustine, FL, Karen (Bill) Bunker of Goleta, Ca, Scott (Holly) Fedak of Denver, Co, Bob Fedak of Chesapeake, Va, Brother-in-law Butch (Wendy) Brown of Punta Gorda, Fla and sister-in-law Billie Jean Brown of New Wilmington, Pa. As well as 6 nieces and 3 nephews. Rick was a Lieutenant of the EMS department for the village of North Palm Beach. He retired in 2006 after a 29-year career. During this time Rick served as a police officer, a field training officer, a firefighter and paramedic. He loved his job and prided himself on being certified in so many areas of public safety. He was in charge of many aspects of running the EMS department under his captain. Due to Covid-19 a celebration of life will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St Jude's Children Hospital in his memory.
