Richard C. Deering Sr.

Richard C. Deering of St. Paul, MN and West Palm Beach, FL passed away peacefully on November 10, 2011 surrounded by his family and friends. He was the son of Richard and Alberta (Woolsey) Deering. Richard was predeceased by his wife Mary Joan (Metcalf) and daughter Lynn Marie Mahoney. He was born in St. Paul, MN on December 19,1930. After graduating from high school, Richard enlisted in the Air Force and served overseas. Upon his return, he married Joan and completed his college education. Richard spent many years in retail management and later worked in the swimming pool and gunite business with his family. He is survived by his sister Janice Peterson and three sons; Richard (Mary) Deering, Kevin (Laurie) Deering and Bryan (Debbie) Deering. He also leaves a son-in-law Brian (Janie) Mahoney. He was the grandfather of Richard (Jennifer), Amber, Justin, Misti, Chris, Steven, Bradley, Nick, Bryan, Shawn (Lori), Kyle, Jamie and Kacey; and great-grandfather to Chase and Calin. A funeral service will be held at Palms West Funeral Home beginning at 6:00pm, on Saturday November 12, 2011. Burial will be held at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, TX at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project @ www.supportwwp.org.
