Remberto Moya Nunez, also known as “El Melli,” “El Melliso,” “Jimagua,” “Fiera,” and “Rambo,” of Belle Glade, Florida passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2026, at the age of 80.
Remberto was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother, and loyal friend. He is survived by his six children: Remberto Jr., Donna Coonfare, Erin Moya, Malissa Moya, Jesus Moya, and Adriana Gonzalez; 18 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Born on July 24, 1945, in Encrucijada, Villa Clara, Cuba, Remberto left Cuba in 1964 alongside his twin brother, Humberto, in search of freedom and a better future in the United States. He worked throughout his life in agriculture, maintenance at USSC, and was well known for his love of ranching, rodeos, and the cowboy lifestyle.
Remberto loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, often sharing stories about Cuba, his childhood on the dairy farm, and the journey that brought him to America. He took pride in caring for his plants, animals, and beautiful birds. His dedication to family and friends was unwavering.
Everyone knew when Remby entered a room. He was the life of the party — full of strength, laughter, stories, and love.
He fought courageously until his very last moment and will continue watching over his loved ones as the guardian angel he always was.
Though our hearts are broken, we will forever cherish the generosity, kindness, strength, and love he gave so freely. We find peace knowing he has reunited in God’s kingdom with his parents, siblings, and beloved granddaughter.
Your legacy and love will live on forever.
