Regina "Jean" Cox Fernandez

The sudden passing of Regina 'Jean(ie)' Cox Fernandez has left us all bewildered and shocked. She left us way too soon. Jeanie was a beloved stepsister to Pamela Epstein, Babs & Neil Rosenkranz and Lisa Johnson. She was an immensely caring, interested and generous Aunt to Craig & Dana Rosenkranz, Jill Rosenkranz, Andy Rosenkranz, Alexis Epstein, Jay Epstein and Alina Edwards. Her step mother Sylvia Cox appreciated her help and devotion and never took it for granted. She went out of her way to visit frequently and help in any way she could for Sylvia. Jeanie's brother-in-law Charlie Fernandez will miss her as well. Our Jeanie was truly a treasure of a person. She was a sweet but strong caring and incredibly intelligent woman. I am proud to pass on the fact that she was Valedictorian of her graduating high school class back in 1962 at Southwest Miami Senior High School. She went on to graduate from University of Pennsylvania. She made lifelong friends by working at University of Miami and The Palm Beach Water Utilities Department. Everything Jeanie did was done in a caring conscientious manner. She carried on in her life with a putting the other person first type of attitude. She cared for her beloved husband Frank Fernandez selflessly for the past five years until he passed from his battle with cancer just six weeks ago. We were so proud of Jeanie for adjusting quite well and trying to give tribute to her late husband's life by getting out there again with friends and family. She is survived as well by cousins and friends of many years that will greatly feel her loss. We will truly miss and mourn her presence at family gatherings. We, her stepsisters Pam, Babs, and Lisa had looked forward to getting even closer to Jeanie because she felt like a true sister of ours. We are extremely distraught that this 'mistake' of the universe has taken her from us... Rest in Peace dear sweet Jeanie We love you
