Ravi Michael Samuel, age 36, died after suffering great emotional and physical agony on Sept. 12, 2017, tragically and unexpectedly in Wellington Florida. Ravi was sensitive, kind hearted and brilliant in many ways. He was high performing on the autistic spectrum. Ravi played the guitar well, enjoyed video games and was a good photographer. He was intuitive, quick and savy on computers. He bravely faced every day challenges most of us take for granted. Ravi enjoyed being a Boy Scout, but he was different than the other boys so it was challenging for him to socialize and make friends. He was frequently and cruelly bullied by people who did not understand him or his autism. Still he loved his family, his cats and those few friends he did have. Ravi's lesson to us is: "Be kind to everyone you meet for you do not know what burdens they carry. " Ravi attended Holy Name School and graduated from DiBacco High School in 1999. He achieved certification in computer repair in 2001. He later went on to study network administration at PB State College. His mother and stepfather, Linda and Alan Savage are devastated by this tragic loss of their good kind son. They hope we can all remember to be understanding; to enjoy our time spent with loved ones and to be gentle with those people who are a little different. At the end, Ravi was desperate to stop the overwhelming emotional and physical pain. Ravi's father was the internationally famous sculptor Raphael Samuel who died when Ravi was only eight years old. He never fully recovered from this heart wrenching loss. Ravi is also survived by his paternal aunt, Eileen Huffman, her extended family as well as his Uncle John (Beverly) Schettler of Sun Prairie WI, cousin Ryan, Aunts Mary Schettler of IL and Karen Schettler of WI. Funeral services will be held at Saint Rita Catholic Church at 13645 Paddock Dr., Wellington, FL 33414 at 11 AM, Wednesday Sept. 20, 2017. Immediately following, the burial will take place at Queen of Peace Cemetery at 10941 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, FL 33414.
