Ramona Gilbert

Ramona T. Gilbert transitioned into Heaven on May 13, 2022, surrounded by her family; she was 61 years old. Born on March 15, 1961, to Herbert and Helga (DeVries) Tichauer in Queens New York she has resided in Florida for the past 30+ years making her home in Wellington FL since 2002 where she raised her girls. Ramona's life was dedicated to caring for her family and her passion was her animals. Ramona loved to travel, rather it be with her husband, family, or friends. The many cruises with families and friends; trips to Disney World; Alaska, Canada, Europe or just a weekend at a hotel on the beach on in the mountains made her happy. Her home in the mountains of New Hampshire was one of her favorite places spending the summers over the past 20 years there with her family. Ramona is survived by her husband Joe Gilbert, her 2 loving daughters Alexandra Duntz and husband Chris, and Ashley Gilbert. The Joy of Ramona's life were her grandchildren Raelynn and Michael Duntz. They were her strength! She is also survived by her mother Helga Tichauer, her sister Cindya Coffey and her partner Rich Steinel and her 2 brothers David Tichauer and wife Roselle and Robert Tichauer and partner Staci Craig. She also leaves her best friend of over 55 years Michelle Fabio who Ramona considered another sister. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Hebert Tichauer. We will be having a Celebration of Ramona's Life on Sunday June 5 from 10 am to 1 pm at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach FL. From 10 am to noon we will spend some time visiting and reminiscing about Ramona and the Service will be from noon to 1 pm. For those of you who cannot attend personally the Service will be zoomed.
