Pietro Badalamenti

April 20, 1945 — January 26, 2024

Pietro Badalamenti (Pete), 78, of Lake Worth, Florida passed away peacefully on January 26, 2024. Pietro was born on April 20, 1945, in Carini, Sicily. He spent his childhood years there and attended school in Palermo. As a young adult, he traveled to both Switzerland and Germany for work before eventually coming to the U.S. in 1968. He spent 2 years working as a concrete foreman at the World Trade Center. Then, in 1970, he returned to Sicily to marry the love of his life, Angela Sparacio. Shortly after the wedding, the couple relocated to Brooklyn, New York, where they lived for 10 years and welcomed 3 children. In 1980, Pietro and family moved to Florida where he and his brothers opened New York Style Pizza & Restaurant that is still operating to this day. Cooking and interacting with the patrons there became his life-long passion. A dedicated husband and family man, he loved to see people smile and enjoy the meals he prepared for them. He also enjoyed being sharply dressed, a good cup of espresso, a good bottle of wine, a good poker game, football, soccer, horse races, going to the beach, and vacationing with family. His loss will be felt forever by all who knew him as he left an indelible mark on anyone he encountered. Pietro is survived by his wife of 54 years, Angela Badalamenti; his sons, Giacomo Badalamenti (Cathy) and Francesco Badalamenti; his daughter, Alessandra Choate (Daniel); his five grandchildren, Brandon Badalamenti, Angela Badalamenti, Tyler Badalamenti, Dominic Choate, and Giovanni Choate; his siblings, Rosa Plaia, Giuseppe Badalamenti, Salvatore Badalamenti, and Francesca Romeo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Santa and Giacomo Badalamenti.
