Philippina Bonadonna

Philippina Bonadonna, 93, of Wellington, died Sunday, July 10th in Good Samaritan Hospital. Philippina (Phyllis) was born on November 2, 1922 in New York City to Carmela and Ignazio DeLuca. She graduated from Pratt Institute with a degree in vocational arts and worked as a NYC high school teacher for 30 years. She resided in Brooklyn until 2003 when she relocated to Wellington to be near her daughter and family. Throughout her life, she was an avid reader and an active member of the Catholic Church. Phyllis is survived by her children, Michael (Kathleen) and Martha (Robert), five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, sisters Angelina and Josephine, and many close friends. She was preceded in death her devoted husband, William Bonadonna. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13th at St. Rita.s Catholic Church in Wellington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation.
