Peter G. Gerbino, 87, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away May 6, 2014, at West Palm Hospital. He was born September 11, 1926, in Boston, MA, and was a long-time resident of Dedham, MA, before retiring to Wellington, FL, in 1986. Mr. Gerbino taught Spanish, French and Italian for 31 years at Needham High School in Needham, MA. He was an active member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Wellington and Allin Congregational Church in Dedham, MA, prior to that. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Adeline, his son and daughter-in-law Dr. Peter II and Christine Gerbino of Monterey, CA; son and daughter-in-law Glenn and Patti Gerbino of Greenacres, FL; son Gary Gerbino of Fort Lauderdale, FL; sister Alfonsa Locore of Pomona, CA; grandchildren, Emily (Phillip) Wiseberg of Juno Isles, FL, and Joseph Gerbino of New York, NY; and one great-granddaughter Madeline Wiseberg. Mr. Gerbino was preceded in death by his brother George Gerbino and son Joel Gerbino. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10 at 11:00 a.m., St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 12200 W Forest Hill Blvd, Wellington, FL 33414. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer remembrances to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer's Association or amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.
