Peter Anthony Bassaline

Peter Anthony Bassaline of Lake Worth, Florida, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at West Palm Hospital at the age of 85. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Bassaline. He is survived by two sons: Peter Bassaline of Wellington, Florida and Paul Bassaline of Randolph, New Jersey; his daughters-in-law Denise and Judy; and his two grandchildren, Jamie and Christopher of Randolph, New Jersey. Peter was born November 9, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York. He was a veteran of the Korean War and attended Bentley College in Massachusetts. He later moved to Connecticut, where he worked at Sikorsky Aircraft and met his wife Dorothy. Peter and Dorothy moved to Florida in 1978 where they raised their family. Peter will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful and devoted father and grandfather. Visitation will be Saturday, December 27, 2014, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL, followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, 100 Crestwood Blvd. S., Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. Entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd. Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
