Pedro Arce

September 3, 1942 — November 30, 2023

Our beloved father, Pedro Arce, 81, peacefully passed away on November 30, 2023. Our father was born in Santiago, Chile and came from humble beginnings. He was the oldest of 10 brothers and sisters. In 1970, Pedro and his wife, (our mother) Lilian (1946-2011) arrived in New Jersey, where we were born. One the kindest souls on this planet, our father was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure that his family had everything they needed. Always welcoming and helping many families throughout his lifetime. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage. Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us. He was always there for us, whether we needed help in school, daily projects or just to provide positive encouragement, a hug, or a shoulder to cry on. He was a man of strong faith and much wisdom. He taught us the importance of family, love, hard work, and most important, doing what is right. Our father was also passionate about the arts, sports, and cooking. For example, he loved painting, listening and playing music on the piano or on his guitar. He loved futbol (soccer), and loved his country, Chile, where he enticed his family and friends with delicious traditional Chilean meals. Our father was a true role model to whom we will always look up. He was a great husband, father, brother, uncle, godfather, and friend. He is survived by his two daughters, Lilian and Andrea, son-in-law, Daniel Diaz, his beloved four-legged grandson/companion (dog), Maxi, and his siblings in Chile: Laura, Hugo, Dalba, German, Hernan, and Eduardo. The funeral service will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at 2pm-6pm. Daddy, you are now at peace, but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you so much. Rest in peace.
