Paul "Wayne" O'Bryon, of Port St Lucie, FL, passed away unexpectedly on March 21, 2013 at the age of 72. Born in Canonsburg, PA, he was the son of Merle & Helen O'Bryon. Wayne graduated from South Broward High School in 1957 and went directly on to serve a four year apprenticeship with the Local 223 of The Sheet Metal Union in Miami becoming a Journeyman, Class A Mechanic. After four years Wayne became a Job Superintendent for two Air Conditioning Contractors in Freeport, Bahamas and Ft. Lauderdale, FL from 1964 to 1970. He then opened his own Air Conditioning business in 1970 and served successfully as owner/operator until 1975 when he sold the business. Wayne then went on to become Vice President and General Manager for three large Air Conditioning Contractors from 1975-1991.In March of 1991, he formed Preferred Air Conditioning & Mechanical, Inc., where 23 years later he still continues to be an active well known member of the HVAC industry, who has created the high standards all of his employees are proud to uphold and pass forward to Preferred Air Conditioning & Mechanical Inc customers. Left to cherish Wayne's memory is his wife of 33 years, Marguerite "Maggie"; his children; Paula (Dan) Hughes, Donald (Donna) O'Bryon, Roxanne Carter, Beau (Sandra) O'Bryon, grandchildren; Tracy, Tristan, Samantha, David, Angie, Daniel, Stephanie, Ginny, Sean, great-grandson, Ostin, siblings; Mary Lou Langford, Peggy Ann Forgét, Claude "Buck" O'Bryon, Harold O'Bryon, Lorraine Bracewell, Mildred Kobertz, James O'Bryon, and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 6 PM – 9 PM. A service will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 11 am. Burial will take place at Riverside Memorial Park after the service.
