Paul Harvey Lesson, 61, of West Palm Beach, FL., passed away peacefully in hospice surrounded by his family on Friday, October 10, 2008, after a year battle with cancer. Born in Schenectady, NY., he was the son of William & Ruth (Fairman) Lesson. He was a graduate of Duanesburg Central School in the class of 1965. After he graduated from high school, he was employed by Walters Air Conditioning Company and General Dynamics on the electric boat at West Milton. Paul was also a co-owner with his father William of East Cycle Sports in Duanesburg, NY. He relocated to West Palm Beach, FL in 1979 where he began working with Boys Electric. After which, he was employed for 5 years with Palm Beach County Water Utilities as an electrician. Paul was best known for his motorcycle shop, MUDD Enterprises, which he & his wife Mary started in 1980 at the Farmers Market in West Palm Beach, FL., where his legacy will continue though his son Paul. Paul?s first love, racing, began with racing Quarter Midgets at the age of 10, where he won multiple titles while living in NY & CA. As an adult he raced motorcycles on ice, street, & dirt and won Florida State Motocross Champion in 1985. He was also a snow skier & marathon runner. Paul?s memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 27 years, Mary (Biggs) Lesson; daughters, Michele Lesson, Kerri Lesson Nicholson, Danielle Lesson, & son Paul Richard (Jackie) Lesson; parents William & Ruth; brother William (Cindy) Lesson; sister, Carol Diane (Theo) Hargrave; step-children, Sandy (Stephen) Eplett & Jackie (Scott) Reiter; sister-in-law, Pat Sczuroski; brother-in-law, John (Layla) Biggs; 15 grandchildren, 10 nieces & nephews; & his first wife Carol Coppolo Liszewski. Paul was pre-deceased by his sister Victoria Lynn Lesson. Paul was loved and respected by all who knew him for his integrity, honesty & humor, and will be sorely missed. A visitation will be held 2-4 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Palms West Funeral Home with a service beginning at 3:30 PM.
