Paul J. "Joe" Prinzivalli, of Wellington, Florida, passed away on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at age 92 after a long illness. He was born in New York City, raised in Brooklyn, New York, served in the Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II, where he participated in four major invasions aboard an LST. After the war he served in China and ferried Japanese troops back to Japan. Returning to civilian life, he took a job with the NYC Board of Transit, which then became the New York City Transit Authority, where he rose to become a Supervisor in Maintenance of Way, and an instructor in Safety, Track, and Track Inspection. He wrote and illustrated his own textbooks and materials. After raising his family in Brooklyn and Staten Island, New York, he retired to Wellington, where he enjoyed fishing, painting, bike riding, and appearing as Santa Claus for neighborhood chlldren. He was predeceased by his parents, Biagio and Maria Succorso ("Susie"), his sister Josephine, and two of his sons, Paul Biagio and Dennis. He is survived by his wife Mildred, of Wellington, his daughter Joann of White Plains, New York and Joann's children: Joseph (m/. Nicole) of Fort Collins CO, Monica (m. Chris Acker) of Redding MA, Michael, of Hoboken NJ and Philip, of San Francisco CA, and Joseph's daughters Etta and Nina; and Monica's daughters, Emily, Becca and Juliana.
