Patrick James Sheehan, Pat, born in Elmira, New York on September 10, 1950, died on March 18, 2017, after a five-year battle with cancer. Pat was the son of the late Donald and Rose (Lynch) Sheehan and brother of Doreen Frisk (David Frisk, husband), Jack Sheehan (Ann Sheehan, wife), Terry Sheehan (the late Mary Sheehan, wife), Judy Dunlavey (Jack Dunlavey, husband), the late Kathleen Sheehan (John Juers, husband), Joanne Palmer (William Palmer, husband), Donna Shultz (Dan Shultz, husband), Scott Sheehan (Annette Sheehan, wife), Ellen Curran (Joseph Curran, husband), Martin Sheehan, and Timothy Sheehan (Beth Sheehan, wife). Mr. Sheehan graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1972 and went on to pursue his graduate studies at Harvard Business School, Cornell, Rutgers, and Syracuse Universities. He was a pioneer in the insurance industry from the late 70's to the late 90's through his retirement in 2013. Mr. Sheehan developed over 100 accumulation products for most of the major insurance companies in the country, raising over $30 billion in premiums. Later in his career, Pat was a well established industry advocate speaking and writing against further regulations in the life industry. This career followed a successful tenure in the merger and acquisition business in several states. Pat's zest for life was unmatched. He acted as a mentor to so many, giving of his time, talent, and treasure. Most of all, Pat had an abiding love and pride for his family with whom he shared humor and kindness. Pat is survived by: fiancé, Wendy Wloch; daughter, Emily Kyrkostas (Timothy Kyrkostas, husband) and grandchildren Christian, Jackson, and Zoe; daughter, Melissa Mariani, (Andrew Mariani, husband) and grandchildren Tyler and Joseph; son, Benjamin Sheehan (Kayla Sheehan, wife) and grandchildren Emory, Kellan, and Maeve; daughter, Mary Bridgette O'Donnell (Christopher O'Donnell, husband) and grandson Brayden, and their mother, Julie M. Sheehan; also, son, Stockton Sheehan; daughter, Samantha Sheehan and their mother, Janet Sheehan, along with numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. A wake will be held at Palms West Funeral Home in West Palm Beach on Friday, March 24th from 6:00 – 8:00pm. His life celebration will be then take place on Saturday, March 25th at 10:00am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Palm Beach Gardens; burial services will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery.
