Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same. As God calls us one by one the chain will link again. Patrick Eaton Henry at age 81 entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. Patrick Eaton Henry was born on October 25, 1938 in Saint Catherine, Jamaica West Indies to the late Egbert Henry and Ita Henry. He graduated from Saint Aloysius High School and also attended the University of Technology in Jamaica. Patrick was a phenomenal athlete. He was the captain of the cricket team, a bowler and a bats man which made him an unusual player. He received several recognition in the Daily Gleaner Newspaper. Patrick Henry migrated to Chicago, Illinois to attend Chicago Technical College where he received a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. He also attended Illinois Institute of Technology for Graduate Studies. He met and married Peach Cooke and from their union they had a son, Mark Eaton Henry. While in Jamaica, he worked at the Government Savings Bank. He was Manager of Engineering at Kingston and St Andrew Corp and also taught at the University of Technology. His first job in Chicago he worked as an inspector for an automatic lift company because he did so extremely well on the job examination. Next, he worked at Fortune 500 Companies as a mechanical engineer. Lastly, he taught Mathematics and Science at various schools for the Chicago Department of Education. Patrick was a very strong willed man with a kind and gentle soul. He had a loving and generous heart. He was always giving to others so for his kindness a beautiful life has ended. He leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his son, Mark, daughter-in-law, Mashaunda, granddaughters, Kayla and Myiah, grandson, Mason, sister, Elrie, brothers Bill and Eric nieces, Rosemarie(Janet), Lucy, Lauren, and Michelle, and other relatives and friends.
