PATRICIA ANN SCHMIDT ?Patty? Patty Schmidt passed away August 17, 2009 at her favorite spot, her house in Summerland Key Florida after suffering from an illness. Patty was born in Bronx New York April 20, 1961 as the daughter of Frank and Ellen McKeon. She attended elementary and high school in Wilkes Barre, Pa. and attended college in Kutztown Pa. until her free spirit led her to her retired uncles? house in Boynton Beach, Fl seeking adventure in 1980. She quickly found employment and made new friends, hooked up with her sister Kathy, attended medical lab testing school and later became a licensed Florida real estate salesperson. She married Fred Schmidt in 1986 and became involved in Fred?s office at Cornerstone Realty of West Palm Beach Florida and helped facilitate the property management duties until the arrival of their son Devin ( she lovingly called him ?Bam Bam?) followed by the birth of her daughter Lindsey (she affectionately called her ?LindStar?) Patty loved the Lord, her family, and was a good daughter, mother, sister, wife and friend to many. She will be dearly remembered for her zest for life, her zany sense of humor, her infectious laugh and her generous spirit. She is survived by her mother and father, Frank and Ellen McKeon, son and daughter Devin and Lindsey Schmidt as well as her former husband, Fred Schmidt of Wellington. In addition she is survived by her brothers, Kenny, Brian and Andy Mckeon and her sisters, Kath Quarles, Maureen Gusto, and Mary McKeon and their spouses as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. A viewing will be held Saturday, August 22, 2009 beginning at 1:00 pm at Palms West Funeral Home at 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, Fl 33411 where family will receive and reminisce with friends for a memorial service which will commence at 2:30 pm.
