Patricia Elizabeth Boehm, 80, of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016. Patricia "Pat" was born March 20, 1936 in Steubenville, Ohio, to May Genevieve (Williams) and William Morris Pratley. Pat was raised in Weirton, West Virginia with her sister, Sondra Ellen Lomax (deceased). Pat attended Mount Mercy College and graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) in 1957 with a degree in nursing. It was during her nursing studies that she met her future husband, Charles "Chuck" Eugene Boehm, in the emergency room of the hospital. In 1958, shortly after her graduation from Nursing School, Pat married Chuck in West Virginia. In 1960, Pat and Chuck had their first son, Charles "Chuck" William Boehm. In 1964, the family moved from Pittsburgh to Florida and purchased a home in Pembroke Pines. Pat went to work at Memorial Hospital in Hollywood and Chuck worked for Eastern Airlines in Miami. In 1967, Pat and Chuck welcomed son, James "Jimmy" Patrick Boehm to the family. Pat retired early from nursing so that she could raise her two boys and manage the Boehm household. Pat was a civic minded individual and volunteered for several organizations. Up until her passing, Pat was secretary of the James Jr. Fund and the Prestige Club. Pat helped found the Pembroke Pines Villagers and campaigned to have the Eastern section of Pembroke Pines renamed Pines Village. She attended the Citizen's Police Academy (Class #8) at the Pembroke Pines Police Department and was a member of the Community on Patrol program. Pat was a parishioner at Saint Stephen's Catholic Church in Miramar and recently at Saint David's Catholic Church in Davie. Pat is survived by; son, Charles William Boehm; son James Patrick Boehm; daughter-in-law Elayne Nancy Boehm (Wallach); grandchildren Beckie and Korey Moyer, William and Nicole Boehm and Ryan and Crystal Boehm; great-grandchildren Jed Derienzo, Jacob Rodriguez, Jonathan Rodriguez, Allie Moyer, Andrew "Drew" Moyer and Haley Boehm; nephews Robert "Rob" Morgan, James "Jim" Ehrmantraut; and nieces Amy Ehrmantraut and Shea Ehrmantraut. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. A funeral mass will be held at Saint Rita Catholic Church, 13645 Paddock Drive, Wellington, FL 33414 on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 11:00 am followed by interment at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery located at 10941 Southern Boulevard, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
