Patrice Ellen Walker

Patrice Ellen Walker, 43, of West Palm Beach, Fl., passed away suddenly Saturday, January 24, 2015. Patrice's health deteriorated for several years and then worsened over the last few months. She is greatly mourned by her loving family, but there is comfort in knowing that she is at peace and her sufferings over. Patrice graduated from John I. Leonard High School, received a bachelor's degree and then a Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. She worked in the mental health field and earned her license as a Mental Health Counselor. As a counselor she took great pride at being able to make a difference in the lives of others. She is survived by her parents Patricia and Charlie Walker,her Sister Carol Bassim, brother-in-law Nabil Bassim, and her nephews Charlie and Billy Bassim. Although her life was marked by illness, Patrice brought joy and love to her family and friends. A memorial gathering will be held 10-11 AM on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Palms West Funeral Home, with a memorial service beginning at 11 AM. She was a strong animal lover, especially cats, and so in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Peggy Adams Animal Shelter: 3100/3200 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33409
