Orlando Benitez May 21, 1940 – June 2, 2026
Orlando Benitez, a devoted family man, skilled craftsman, and cherished friend, peacefully passed away on June 2, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born in Havana, Cuba, on May 21, 1940, Orlando brought with him a vibrant spirit, a resilient work ethic, and a passion for building a beautiful life for those he loved. As a talented painter and dedicated handyman in the construction industry, he was known not just for the quality of his work, but for the pride, care, and precision he poured into every project. He possessed the rare ability to fix what was broken and brighten any space he touched.
Beyond his trade, Orlando’s heart was truly centered on his home and community. An amazing cook, he took immense joy in gathering people together, ensuring that his kitchen was always open and that everyone who walked through his door was well fed. He lived his life with rare generosity, always willing to do absolutely anything for anyone without a moment's hesitation.
Orlando's true masterpiece was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Laura Benitez, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and devotion. His legacy of strength, warmth, and hospitality will live on through his children: his daughters, Melissa Lipp, Alisha Benitez, Lisa Prado, and Michelle Benitez; and his sons, Anthony Benitez and Kevin Benitez.
Orlando was also the proud and doting grandfather to Cameron Benitez, Ava Lipp, Gavin Lipp, Aiden Benitez, Jordan Benitez, Anthony Benitez JR, Eddie Prado JR, and Bryana Prado, each of whom brought immense joy to his life. He was a pillar of support for his entire family, and the beautiful memories of his kindness and care will be forever treasured.
