Olga Maria Silverio

Olga Silverio, a cherished daughter of our Heavenly Father, peacefully ascended to her eternal Home on May 3, 2025, at the age of 93. Surrounded by a multitude of loved ones, she entered into the loving embrace of her Savior Jesus. Olga was a radiantly loving mother to Lorena, Patrick, Olguita, and David; a life-shaping grandmother to Kelly, Christopher, Holly, Kristen, Lucia, and their spouses (Daniel, Sara, Brad, and Gabe); and a beloved great-grandmother to 17 (and counting) of her little tesoros. She was also a dear sister to Daisy, tía, and friend to countless others. She leaves behind a legacy of unshakable faith and godly encouragement. She has always longed for the presence of her Jesus. For most of her days, she was immersed in the Word of God, whispered (and occassionally shouted) prayers from dawn to dusk- many of them written in her tattered prayer book, lifted hymns with arms held high, cradled babies with endless kisses, and poured her soul in service to every needy or weary person that God placed in her path. She loved practically perfectly because she was loved by her perfect Jesus first. Her reason—the truth she shared with everyone she met—was simple and unwavering: Jesus was her precious Savior, and He could be yours as well. Olga's life testified to the truth of the gospel—that our perfect Jesus bore the weight of our sin, suffered and died on the cross, and rose in power, all for the joy set before Him—us. She lived a life of pouring out because she intimately understood that Jesus longs for us to be forgiven, redeemed, and set free, so that we might receive His love and one day stand face to face with Him in glory. She has fought the good fight. She has finished the race. And without a doubt, she has heard the voice of God resounding in joy: "Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into my joy." (Matthew 25:21, ESV)
