Nydia Martinez

On October 5th, 2021, our loving mother, abuela, sister, aunt, and friend, Nydia Martinez passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home into God's grace. A warrior throughout life, Nydia was 75 years old. On February 15, 1946, she was born in Honduras, the daughter of Anita Guiterrez and Miguel Angel Lopez. In 1969, she came to the United States and began to build a life for herself. Nydia started her own family when she had her three daughters. As her children began to have kids, the blessings of her grandchildren brought such joy. She took pride in being the best mother and grandmother. She is survived by many loving individuals, including her daughters: Yvette, Nydia, and Roxanna, along with her grandchildren: Eliya, Lazaro, Gabriel, Todd, Yadira, Taylour, and Albie. Ms. Martinez is also survived by her great grandchildren, Noah and Mateo, as well as her sisters, Ana Rosa and Rutilia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anita and Miguel, as well as her sister, Adilia. Nydia was a caregiver as she touched the lives of many with her loving ways and caring heart. She was a classy, kind-hearted woman. Ms. Martinez devoted her entire life to her family. She influenced others with her charisma and kindness as she taught everyone what unconditional love is. Nydia will be dearly missed and always remembered. Nydia requested a celebration of life to be held in her honor. We request all of Nydia's loved ones to join us in celebrating her beautiful life at Palms West Memorial Sunday, October 10th, 2021 at 1pm.
