Noel Emanuel Lee-Pow (affectionately called Gung-Gung) was born in Kingston, Jamaica on 12/26/1930 to Edna and Henry Lee-Pow. He moved to China when he was a young child and later in life, got married to his first wife. Together they had 2 children. In his late 30s he moved to Jamaica for a better life, where he met Elaine, with whom he had a daughter. He then went to the US Virgin Islands and then to Florida, where he worked as a chef in a Chinese restaurant. Years afterward, he met and married Sylvia and together they started their own Chinese restaurant called Orient Chef. Noel was known as a humble, simple, generous and friendly man who loved working with his hands. He especially enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He was always very warm and friendly to everyone, and he had a lot of love and affection for his family. He was strong and uncomplaining. Even when he was faced with medical challenges, he could not be described as embittered or discontented. Whether it was running a restaurant business or gardening and growing plants and trees, it wasn't until he was advanced in age that he began to slow down. His presence will be sorely missed and we will cherish his memories always. He is survived by 3 children, 5 stepchildren, 6 grandchildren, 11 step grandchildren,1 great-grandchild and other relatives.
