It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Nisha Nadine Maharaj, who departed this life on September 29, 2026, at the age of 58.

Born on November 20, 1967, in Trinidad and Tobago, Nisha carried the warmth, strength, and spirit of her Caribbean roots with her throughout her life. She later made her home in Florida, where she built a life centered around family, love, hard work, and caring for those around her.

Nisha was the cherished daughter of the late Pearly Maharaj and Jagdis Maharaj and the sister of Nigel Maharaj and the devoted mother of her two daughters, Nadine Maharaj and Alyssa Maharaj. As well as a very important monarch of the Chattergoon Family & Maharaj Family. Above all else, her daughters were the heart of her life, and the love she had for them was immeasurable.

For more than 30 years, Nisha dedicated her career to the healthcare field, working in clerical and administrative roles. Throughout her career, she brought dedication, dependability, and compassion to her work and to the many people she encountered along the way.

Nisha also held a very special place in her heart for her beloved pup, Simba. He was much more than a pet; he was family, a loyal companion, and a source of unconditional love and happiness. Simba preceded her in passing, and there is comfort in imagining them together once again, reunited with the same love and companionship they shared in life.

Nisha will be remembered for the love she gave, the strength she carried, and the memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her. Her journey began in Trinidad and Tobago, continued in Florida, and leaves behind a legacy that will live on through her daughters, her family, her friends, and everyone whose life was touched by her presence.

Though her passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot express, the love she shared and the memories she leaves behind will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
