Nicola Parente

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nicola "Nick" Parente on Friday, July 29, 2022. He died peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Wellington, Florida. He was 88. Born in Mola di Bari, Italy, Nick migrated to Argentina in the early 1950's where he met and married his wife Rosita of 61 years. He moved to America in the mid 1960's to fulfill his wishes of living the American dream. He began his journey as a longshoreman working on the docks in New York and living in Brooklyn. He then built a career as a plumber, steamfitter as well as a real estate investor. After starting a family he moved to Howard Beach, Queens and began to plant roots for his wife and 3 daughters. He had a passion for his vegetable garden, cooking and providing for his family with the fruits of his labor. He loved being a devoted husband, father, grandfather and enjoyed playing soccer, poker and listening to Italian music. Nicola will be greatly missed and leaves a legacy of memories for his loving family. May he rest in peace and always be our Angel. Survived by his wife Rosita, his three daughters, Anna, Caroline and Lillian, his son-in-law Eddie, his eight grandchildren: Brielle, Brianna, Alex, Alexa, Julia, Luca, Giovanni, and Olivia. He is also survived by his siblings Tony, Ninet, Sylvia and Georgina. He was predeceased by his brother Mike. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 from 1pm-3pm and 6pm- 8pm at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. On Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 9 am family and friends will gather at Palms West Funeral Home, followed by a mass at 11 am at St. Rita's Catholic Church, 13645 Paddock Drive, Wellington, FL 33414. Entombment will follow immediately after at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
