Nick T. Palmer, age 96 of Palm Beach, FL died peacefully at home with his daughters by his side on March 11, 2025. Nick was born in Akron, Ohio and at 18 months old moved to Piraeus, Greece with his parents, Chrisanthy and Triphon Palmer. Several years later, they moved to Athens, Greece where his younger brother Evan was born, and resided there until the age of 17. In 1945, the family emigrated to the United States leaving a shattered war-torn country to pursue the American dream. With the American/Greek dictionary by his side, he finished high school and attended City College of New York where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. After several positions to gain his experience, Nick went to work for General Foods (GF) Inc. as an electrical engineer, where he also earned his Professional Engineering License. After a long and successful career at GF, Nick retired to Knoxville, TN for 10 years before moving further south to Palm Beach, FL to be near his daughters and grandchildren. Nick enjoyed sports cars, always having one in his garage until he moved to Palm Beach. He took great pleasure in home repair; automating, refurbishing, and remodeling, and was the go-to person for many of his friends when they needed help. He had a zest for travel and has been to 5 continents with extensive travel within. He was a kind and generous person who gave consistently to many charitable organizations. He took great pleasure in the simple things like a beautiful day and nature. He loved Tango music and dancing, social gatherings, and old movies. He was always an avid learner, walker and swimmer. He had extensive knowledge of almost every topic imaginable. His greatest pride and joy were his daughters and granddaughters and will always be remembered as a loving, supportive, and generous father and grandfather. Nick is predeceased by his brother, Evan. He is survived by his daughters, Chrisanthy and Elaine, his grandchildren, Alexandra and Nicole, and niece and nephew, Christina and Jonas. A lunch to honor Nick's life will be held at Cafe Sapori, 205 Southern Blvd., West Palm Beach, FL 33405. Kindly contact the family if you plan to attend the lunch.
