Nicholas C. Moran called home by God on Nov. 3, 2014 , survived by his loving wife Angela, for 66 years. Nick was born on Dec. 15, 1920 to Ellen and William Moran in New York City. He was blessed with two children, Denise and Brian. Denise's son Ryan married to Maria presented Nick and Angela with their first great grandchild, Angelina. Brian married to Diane, have two children, Brian and Kelly. Nick's siblings, Eleanor (deceased) , William (deceased) and Josephine living in City Island, NY. Nick had many cousins and friends too numerous to mention. Nick graduated from Stuyvesant High School and Fordham University School of Business. He enjoyed all sports especially stickball and playing pool in the local billiard hall. He served in the US Army Air Corp during World War Two attached to the Ninth Weather Squadron from which he was honorably discharged in Dec. 1945 with the rank of Tech Sgt. of a weather station. He secured employment in the private personnel placement industry from which he retired in December 1985. He was President of Employment Recruiters and also served as Membership Chairman and Vice President of the Association of Personnel Agencies of New York State. After retiring he became a Lector/Eucharistic Minister at St. Ambrose, St. Joan of Arc and St. Rita of Wellington. He had also become a pastoral volunteer in hospice of Palm Beach County. He touched many lives and was loved by all. A visitation will be held from7-9 PM on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Palms West Funeral Home with a wake service beginning at 8:30 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11:30 AM on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at St. Rita Catholic Church. Following mass, Nicholas will be laid to rest, with military honors, at the South Florida National Cemetery.
