Nicholas C. Giaramita

It is with great sadness that the Giaramita family announces the passing of Nicholas Claude Giaramita on June 3rd, 2019 at the age of 84 with his family by his bed side. Nicholas lived in Wellington Florida with his wife, Dolores. He is pre-deceased by his parents Rose and Gasper Giaramita and his brother Buddy. He was born September 15, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York. Nicholas graduated High School in 1952 and enlisted in the United States Navy at age 18 and was honorably discharged after 4 years of service. Nicholas married Dolores Canavan in 1956. They had four children, Karen, Nicky, Tom and Christine. In 1965 Nicholas and Dolores moved to Massapequa, New York where he was a bank manager for Citibank for 35 years. He loved to travel and cruise, he was very artistic and handy with his hammer. If anyone needed work done at their house, Nick was there with his hammer and tools. His hobbies were drawing, painting and building models. He was always doing some work for family and friends. He was loving, kind and generous. Everyone that knew him loved him for his great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Dolores of 62 years. Daughter Karen and James Williams, son Nick and wife (Eileen), son Thomas and wife (Stephanie) and daughter Christine. Along with three grandchildren Kerry and (Kenny), Kyle, and Ashley. The Giaramita Family would like to thank Wellington Elder Care staff for their love and excellent care that they provided for Nicholas the last two years of his life.
