NELSON MORALES-RIVERA
Nelson Morales-Rivera, 79, died Mar. 9, 2026, in Palms Garden Health and Rehabilitation Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
He was born on December 14, 1946, to Eduardo Morales and Fidela Ortiz in Santurce, Puerto Rico.
Nelson joined the Air Force in 1963, serving four years on the Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine.
He married Lyana Morales, and they had two children, Venessa M. Ranney and Daniel Morales.
Nelson is survived by his wife, son, daughter, and three grandchildren.
He is outlived by many brothers and sisters, as well as nieces and nephews.
Nelson was an extraordinarily kind and patient man, with a warm voice that could handle every nuance of counsel. In his professional life, these attributes helped him attain great success, elevating him from service worker to vice president of sales for Café Bustelo’s New York division. However, the monetary gains he acquired from work were never his epitome of achievement. If one truly wanted to know what defined his version of success, one simply had to see him hearing the music of his youth while being in the presence of family.
Burial services will be Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 at 10am at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stand Down: An Initiative of Faith Hope Love Charity, Inc. Ways to Donate.
