Nancy Faye Eldridge

July 18, 1938 — February 1, 2020

Faye was from a small town in Georgia. After moving to Palm Beach County, she used her love of theater and talent for sewing and design to become the costume designer for the Royal Poinciana Playhouse in Palm Beach. She also designed and coordinated the costumes for the Gentle Ben TV series that was filmed in South Florida. She went on to open her own business, "Costumes by Faye" which was a staple on Clematis in the 70's and 80's. She was the first woman to join the Downtown Businessmen's Association, paving the way for other businesswomen and prompting them to change their name. In 1979, she won the Best Design Award from the National Costumer's Association. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Don Eldridge, her daughters Vicky Cronell and Teresa Barca, her step-daughter Alicia Rogers and her grandchildren Nicholas, Sarah, Brian, Candice, Keith, Adrianna, Caden, Dillon, and Bryce.
