Nance Elaine Moscoso

Nance Moscoso Trancik, 61, of Wellington, Florida, loving wife and proud mother of two, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan, to Edward and Jackie Trancik. Nance grew up in Michigan with her two brothers, Larry and Jerry. From an early age, she was an avid lover of horses and began riding Shetland ponies at the age of three. She went on to attend the Florida Central Academy (class of 1979), where she met her future husband, Ivan. After high school, Nance married Ivan and moved to his home country, Ecuador. While in Ecuador, they welcomed their first child, Mario, and their second child, Michelle, a few years later. Nance loved Ecuador as her own and enjoyed traveling the countryside, especially on horseback. In 1989, Nance and her family moved back to Florida. She was drawn to the Equestrian community of Wellington and eventually settled there for the next 31 years. While in Wellington, Nance enjoyed raising her family and training horses in her spare time. She especially loved Arabian horses and the Dressage discipline. Additionally, she spent time working as a teacher and was passionate about helping troubled youth. Her other hobbies included playing the piano, cooking, and caring for her Maltese dogs and parrots. Nance was best known for her love for horses, humor, and generous spirit. She is survived by her loving husband Ivan of 42 years, her children, Mario and Michelle, her grandson Carlos, her brother Jerry, and her parents, Edward and Jackie. A celebration of life will be held on February 18th at 2 pm in the Lake View room at the Wellington Community Center on 12150 Forest Hill Boulevard.
