Myrtlyne Cobourne

Myrtlyne Cobourne, was born on June 1, 1930 in Kingston, Jamaica to parents Ivanhoe and Imogene Cobourne. Myrtlyne, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, grandchildren and son-in-laws. She battled many illnesses, but never lost her gift of laughter or her zest for life, and for those who knew her, can attest to the fact that she fought a good fight to the end. She leaves behind her children; Lorraine (Don) , Joan, Janet, Yasmine, Melody (Mervyn); 14 grandchildren; Ian, Marie, Jospehine, Sean, Jamal, Everton, Jackie, Mark, Sean, Tiffany, Tristina, Sasha, Notae, and Melann; 15 great-grand; and her siblings; Melva, Noreen, Donna, Michael, Dorothy, Maureen, Marva, Merlin, Marie, Tony, and a host of wonderful friends. A viewing will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Thursday, May 19, 2011 from 10:00 AM unitl 11:00 AM. A Mass of the Ressurection will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church also on Thursday, at 12:00 PM with interment to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery. Immediately following services, a repass will be held at Royal Palm Beach Village Golf Club, 122 Country Club Drive, Royal Palm Beach, Florida 33411.
