Muriel Barrett

Muriel Barrett, 79, left us on June 11, 2021 with her family by her side at Palms West Hospital. Muriel was born on August 3, 1941, in St. Catherine Jamaica to Mable Glegg and Adolphus Williams. Muriel came to America with her late husband where she began her career working for US Sugar Corporation in Clewiston, FL. In 1992, she lived in Royal Palm Beach where she started working with Walmart Corporation. She worked her way up to a management position where she retired after vesting over 20 years. Her personal interests included spending time with family, senior yoga, completing puzzles, gardening, and baking her famous rum cakes and buns. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her dog Tina and family members. Her angelic personality and selfless spirit brightened everyone's life. Muriel leaves behind three sons and their spouses: Courtney & Ernestine Morris of St. Augustine, Trevis & Deloris Barrett of Cape Coral & Calvin Barrett of Clermont. Her late son Rowland Barrett and two daughters: Jacqueline Barrett of Royal Palm Beach and Claudia & Rodrecus Jackson of Port Saint Lucie. 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers Cleveland Williams of Glengoffe Jamaica and Frank Graham of England. She spent her latest years in the company of her family and friends.
