The Late Morris Vinturvin Rose "Uncle Morris" as he was affectionately called was born in Jamaica West Indies on February 25th, 1934, to Linnette Wright and Ivan Rose. Morris spent his early years with his brother Leonard and Sister Eula in St. Mary Jamaica where he attended High School. He met and married Lillian. The union produced 5 children. In 1970, Morris migrates to the USA to reside in New York. He later divorced and re-married Joan Bennett. Morris was a hard worker. He worked as a carpet installer and had his own carpet business. They both lived in New York and migrated to Florida in 1992. Morris loved children and always see to it they were well cared for. Every year he would buy them tickets to the South Florida Fairgrounds. Christmas time he would make sure they all had gifts and toys to play with. He enjoyed sharing and spending time with the children and grandchildren. His hobbies included listening to jazz music and watching Boxing events which was his favorite. He also enjoyed travelling and cruising with his beloved wife Joan. They were an inseparable couple who affectionately loved each other. Morris was baptized at Connect Church. Where he joined the church family and enjoyed several church trips over the years. He was a loving, kind, humble, gentle soul; always ready to share and serve his fellow man. He will be forever missed. He is survived by his wife Joan Bennett-Rose, children Basil, Claudette, Michelle, Marcia, Joy, Stepchildren Cheryl and Nichole. He also leaves behind several grand and great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Morris was pre-decease by his mother, father, sister and brother.
