Mitchell A. Thomas

Mitchell A Thomas passed away peacefully with family on the morning of February 20, 2023. He was born on October 26, 1957 in St Johnsville, NY, the third son to Anne and Richard Thomas. He was raised with his four brothers; Kean, Richard, Jeffrey and Ryan. Mitchell studied Project Management at Delhi College and graduated in 1977. He also excelled in baseball and soccer athletics. Mitchell moved to south Florida in 1978 to pursue his career as a Superintendent in Construction, where he met his life partner and wife, Theresa Kearns. Mitchell and Theresa were married in 1985 at St Paul of The Cross in North Palm Beach, FL. They settled down in Lake Worth, FL and had three children; Annie Rose in 1986, Austin Mitchell in 1988 and Elizabeth Mae in 1991. Mitchell was a dedicated husband and father— he coached his son's baseball teams, taught his daughters how to swim, and took great pride in providing for his family. Mitchell retired in 2014 and became a full time "Pa". He dedicated his last few years with spending time with his grandchildren, Ryder and Rosemarie. Mitchell was generous and compassionate with helping others, especially as a friend of Bill W's. Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa, who passed away in 2015 and his father Richard Thomas, who passed in 1997. Mitchell leaves behind their three children, Annie, Austin and Elizabeth, his grandchildren, Ryder and Rosemarie, as well as his four brothers; Kean, Rick, Jeffrey and Ryan, his mother Anne Thomas and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, February 28th, 2023 at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
