Mirella Gomez, née Prieto, was born on October 24, 1940, in Havana, Cuba. Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. Mirella loved foremost her family and would give all of herself for them. She enjoyed gathering her adult children and grandchildren, and cooking their favorite Cuban dishes. The newest 'apple of her eye' was her 1st great-grandchild, Olivia. Anyone that met Mirella would immediately feel she was amiable. Mirella was indeed compassionate, truly empathetic, and was admired for her energy, strength, and resilience while enduring many tragedies in her lifetime. Restless in spirit, she enjoyed anything that would keep her from being idle. She was Creative and loved sewing, knitting, embroidery, coloring, home decorating, organizing; and enjoyed watching "Spanish novelas" on television. Mirella loved and was loved by many! "Mami", Aguita", or "Tia" will not be forgotten by Tony (Esther), Mireya, Jose "Pepi" (Carolina), Juli (Rosie), Jenessa (Paul), Stefenie (Cole), Vanessa, and Olivia. We will miss her, but have Peace in knowing that Mirella is in the arms of our Lord, and re-united with her loved ones who have passed before her, Mima, Pepe, Cusa…
