Miguel (Gelo) Angel Cuascut-Rivera, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle passed away peacefully in the morning hours of November 26, 2024 to be with his lord and savior, surrounded by his loving family at Trustbridge Hospice in West Palm Beach, FL from a courageous battle with Intrahepatic Bile Duct Cancer. Miguel had recently celebrated his 52nd wedding anniversary on November 3rd and his 73rd birthday on November 18th, one week prior to his departing. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends and many more whose lives were touched by him. He resided in Greenacres, FL for thirteen years. Miguel was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico on November 18, 1951 to Guadalupe and Rosa Cuascut Rivera. He grew up in the embracement of a large family in rural Puerto Rico which included nine siblings. Miguel enjoyed the simple things in life, and was happiest when all were having a great time. He was a fan of the Boston Red Sox, loved listening to salsa music and was an avid fisherman. Miguel also had an appreciation for classic cars and attending car shows. What brought a smile to his face and light to his eyes were his grandsons Mason and Noah. They made countless memories together and were the center of his life. He quickly made many friends by his kind, caring and generous nature(he was just that type) throughout his working career and retirement. Miguel moved from Puerto Rico to Connecticut at the age of fifteen and lived in Connecticut for most of his adult life and retired to Florida in 2011 to help care for his first grandson, Mason and four years later, second grandson Noah. He is survived and dearly missed by his wife, Joan of 52 years, Greenacres, FL and loving daughter Amy Tirillo(Anthony), Greenacres, FL.
